HopScotch was founded in 2019 (bad timing).  We remain proudly owner operated, and continue to stick to our ethos of whisky for everyone.  

Despite our love of whisky, we never got on with the vibe of exclusivity, dress codes, etc that many whisky bars have.  We wanted HopScotch to be casual, affordable, not classist - just a place where everyone can enjoy some seriously good whisky; and we're proud to say that we've never deviated from that core ethos.

Today you'll find hundreds of whiskies on our backbar, with around 60-70% of the list available for between £6-8 a dram, which if we do say so ourselves it pretty impressive in 2025.

We also recognise that not everyone is into whisky, which is why we also have local craft beer, an amazing selection bottled beers including Lambic, and a nice seasonal cocktail menu.
