A Little Bit About HopScotch Whisky Bar
HopScotch was founded in 2019 with the aim of bringing independently bottled whisky to Liverpool. You’ll find HopScotch tucked away down and unassuming staircase in Liverpool’s Fabric District. At the bar you’ll find Matt & Beck (the two founders), and Charly, who are all hugely passionate about HopScotch and making sure all of our guests have the best experience possible.
We have a carefully curated selection of around 130 whiskies and rums on the backbar at any one time. We never wanted the largest selection, as we think it’s more important to focus on keeping the selection interesting, always rotating, with bottles kept in the best condition possible. In addition to whisky, we’re also massive fans of Lambic beer at HopScotch and have the largest range in the city, we have local craft beer on draught, a number of German and Belgian beers by the bottle, and a handful of classic and modern cocktails. HopScotch is what we’d consider to be ‘the people’s whisky bar’ - there’s no dress code, the vibe is casual, most whiskies are £7-8 for a dram, and the atmosphere is friendly. A large amount of the guests at HopScotch have become our friends, they have made friends with one another, we’ve grown into a great community, and we’re always welcoming to new people who want to join us.
