Peated whisky from the Akkeshi distillery that was distilled in 2018 and left to mature in a 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrel. This was bottled in 2025 at 57.7%ABV. The fact that this was distilled in 2018 should put it more at 6-7 years of age, so I’m not sure why it has a 3 year age statement, maybe they only count the years the cask spent in Japan. Either way, it’s really good - feels slightly more peated than Yoichi.
